What equipment do I need?

As a centre we have a large amount of kit available to use at no additional cost to centre users. Just merely pay your session fee and use of kit is included. We provide all the equipment you need from buoyancy aids to boats, paddles, canoes and anything else needed, all included in the price.

If you are a looking to get involved or are a new member you will need clothing to wear during your chosen activity. This should be clothing that can afford to get wet and not be too heavy in the water.

We have a number of jackets to keep the wind/rain off.

Towels and a change of clothing to go home in (as you can get wet sometimes).

Can I bring my own equipment?

If you own suitable equipment, you are most welcome to bring it with you (unfortunately the price still stands), it's your choice. We may ask you to demonstrate your competency with certain equipment.

The boats we use?

New for the 2008/2009 paddling season we will have some exciting new boats which will be available to be used. We have a number of boats available: kayaks, canoes, sit on tops, racing kayaks/canoes, touring kayaks.

Our equipment is regularly safety checked and from a number of brands.
