Welcome to Hinckley Water Activities Training Centre! We are a watersports centre based in Hinckley, Leicestershire - which offers kayaking and canoeing activities/courses for individuals and groups. The centre is ran by dedicated volunteers who are all formally qualified by the British Canoe Union. We use a very pleasant local lake to give local people and groups the opportunity to try kayaking and open canoeing in a safe and controlled environment. The Centre operates a policy of equal opportunity for all, regardless of gender, race or religion. We will be starting winter paddling sessiond on the 24/01/10. These sessions will be ran from the HWATC centre but operate mainly on the nearby Ashby Canal. These sessions will be focussed mainly on touring or tripping, with the aim to stay dry - weather permitting. These sessions will be run every two weeks starting from the above date. The sessions will start at 13:00 hours and end at 16:00 hours (these times may vary). |
